Practical Driving Tests
The practical test costs £56, you are able to have your test in the evening or on Saturday, but the cost is increased to £57.50. I will book your test for you.
A test date and time will be given, which may be changed if it’s unsuitable. You must give least 14 working days notice to cancel your test.
During your lessons I teach you what to expect in the test, which usually lasts about 45 minutes and will be taken at your local driving test centre by aDSA examiner.
- If you can manage it, try and take at least two 2-hour lessons a week to get ready for your test
- Make sure you wear really comfortable clothes on the day of the test
What you will be tested on, on the day:
You will be examined on your ability to drive competently
and safely by an examiner sitting in the car with you. You will use my car so
you are familiar with the controls, as you need to be as confident and relaxed
as possible during the examination.
The examiner will inform you whether you've
passed or not after the test. If you
fail you will be told what you did wrong.
You can re-apply for another test
straight away, but you must wait at least 10 working days before your next
test. Your lessons will prepare you for your practical driving test.
If you pass your test you will be given a form to apply for your Full Driving Licence.
Advanced Driving Tests
Does your driving meet the advanced test?
What makes an Advanced Driver?
Well, an Advanced Driver is someone who always puts his or her vehicle
in the correct place on the road, travelling in the correct gear at the correct
speed.
Easier
said than done in today's traffic conditions! But with the right
training most people could become better and safer drivers. Once you
have passed your test, you can work towards gaining your Advanced
Driver Test.
One of the advantages of having this is that your insurance premiums are reduced.
